- Field recordings of folk songs and ballads and banjo music. Included is a brief interview with Alice Tucker who discusses her childhood and her mother's childhood during post-slavery days, recorded August 18, 1959 in Kentucky recorded in Kentucky and Indiana by Guthrie T. Meade in August 1959 and April and July 1960. The collection also includes 9 leaves of song texts from the singing of members of the South family, including Harold South, who previously were recorded by Meade in 1956.
