Relief shown by hachures.
Differs from other 1862 edition in icluding a list of new maps to the right of the map title as well as "Deviation of the magnetic needle . . ." and "Memoranda" describing the sources and projection used to make the map, and lacking the warning to the right of the map title.
Prime meridian: Washington.
Includes text, population table, and lists of steamboat routes and altitudes.
LC copy sectioned in two, and mounted on cloth, with some losses along edges. DLC
