Found inReitz, J.M. ODLIS : online dictionary for library and information science, July 25, 2014 (catalogue raisonné: A book or set of books listing and/or illustrating all the known works 1) of a particular artist (including photographers and architects), 2) of a school of artists or art movement, or 3) in a given medium, usually written by a leading expert and sometimes published as a supplement to another volume. As a general rule, each entry in the list includes date of production, size, condition, provenance, location, exhibition history, and other important information about the work. The images in a catalogue raisonné are often small and may be printed in black and white, the primary purpose being to authoritatively document the body of work rather than to display it for the reader's appreciation and enjoyment.)

Also called Classed catalogue and Classified catalogue; Classified catalogue: A catalogue in which the entries are arranged in classified order of subjects, whether logically, in systematic order, exhibiting hierarchical relationship between subjects as in the systematic catalogue--the more usual, or alphabetically, as in the alphabetico-classed catalogue. It is usually in two parts: the classified file of entries in systematic order, and the alphabetical subject index to the classified file. Also called Classed catalogue, Classified subject catalogue.)

Wikipedia, July 25, 2014 (A catalogue raisonné is a comprehensive, annotated listing of all the known artworks by an artist either in a particular medium or all media. The works are described in such a way that they may be reliably identified by third parties. There are many variations, both broader and narrower than "all the works" or "one artist". The parameters may be restricted to one type of art work by one artist or widened to all the works by a group of artists. The spelling is never Americanized to "catalog", even in the United States. The French pluralization "catalogues raisonnés" is used.)
