She has a Science degree from the University of Tasmania and a Diploma of Performing Arts from the Tasmanian State Institute of Technology. She now lives by the beach in southern Tasmania. Lian is the author of various radio plays (including 'Inquest into the Disappearance of a Sensible Woman') and puppetry scripts for both adults and children. Her first novel 'Rats!' was published in 2001.)
