It promoted the goals of an ethnic Albania, i.e., a state including all Albanian territory, and a republican system, i.e., anti-Zog... With the victory of the Communists in 1944, Balli Kombëtar was accused of having collaborated with the Germans, and its leaders fled abroad or were killed.... The Balli Kombëtar organization was revived in Albania as a political party in the early 1990s... and in 1996 won five percent of the popular vote and two seats in parliament.") |
