Pest , 1817 August 7, d. Buziás, 1885 September 15), landowner, politician, a Karatson family member. He was the eldest son of Lajos Karátsonyi and Countess Alojzia of Starhemberg. On December 28, 1858 he received the title of an Austrian imperial count, which was extended to Hungary in 1878. He later received the title of imperial and royal chamberlain and then a real inner secret councilor, and also received the Grand Cross of the Order of the Iron Crown. He was elected a Member of Parliament in 1866 , and was later elected a member of the main house by families with inherited rights.) |
