Wikipedia, Nov. 30, 2014 (article title: Roger de Rabutin, Comte de Bussy; Roger de Rabutin, Comte de Bussy (13 April 1618-9 April 1693), commonly known as Bussy-Rabutin; French memoirist; born at Epiry, near Autun; studied at the Jesuit school in Autun, and then at the College de Clermont; served in army; author of Histoire amoureuse des Gaules, written in 1660; sent to the Bastille on 17 April 1665, where he remained for more than a year, and was only liberated on condition of retiring to his estates, where he lived in exile for seventeen years; elected to the Académie française in 1665, and held his chair there until his death in 1693)
