Volynsʹka oblastʹ, 1970: p. 590-598 (Kortelisy, a village in Ratnivsʹkyĭ raĭon. It was first mentioned in historical sources of 1500 as part of the Ratnivsʹke starostvo. It later became a part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and after 1569 it was incorporated into Poland. With the third partition of Poland in 1795 Kortelisy was annexed along with Western Volynia into the Russian Empire, where it was part of the Hiryt︠s︡ʹka volostʹ in the Kovelsʹkyĭ povit. After World War I, in 1919 it was seized by Poland. In 1939, along with Western Ukraine, Kortelisy became part of the Ukrainian SSR)
