Biography/History noteThe Legislative Council of the East Africa Protectorate was established in 1907. In 1920 it became the Legislative Council of Kenya Colony and Protectorate. In Mar. 1963 it was superseded by the House of Representatives and Senate of the National Assembly of Kenya. On Jan. 5, 1967, the House of Representatives and the Senate merged to form the unicameral National Assembly of Kenya.
