Wikipedia, August 2, 2022: (Andreu Nin (4 February 1892-20 June 1937) was a Spanish communist politician, translator and publicist; in 1917 joined the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE); was a founder of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE); after Nin broke with Leon Trotsky and the International Left Opposition (ILO), he founded the Workers' Party of Marxist Unification (POUM) in 1935. In 1937 POUM was declared illegal and Nin and most of the POUM leadership were arrested. Nin was tortured and finally executed on 20 June 1937; other names include Andrés Nin)
