| Special note | In 1965 the Animal Inspection and Quarantine Division and the Animal Disease Eradication Division of the Agricultural Research Service merged to form the Animal Health Division. A new Veterinary Biologics Division assumed the responsibility for certain functions of the former Animal Inspection and Quarantine Division. In 1971 the Animal Health Division was replaced by the Animal and Plant Health Service. The name of the latter was changed in 1972 to Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Non-Latin script reference not evaluated. |
