In 13th cent. a port arose named Kot︠s︡i︠u︡bievo which also was destroyed in 1540; but was rebuilt and renamed Khadzhibeĭ [no publs. in LC data base]. In 1764 Khadzhibeĭ conquered by Turks, but was liberated by Russian Army in 1789.
