Burger, 79, Illustrator and a Writer on Wildlife, Dies" (Dec. 30-Carl V. Burger died today in Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. He was 79 years old; He was born in Marysville, Tenn., and graduated in 1912 from Cornell University. Mr. Burger became a newspaper cartoonist in Boston. In World War I he served as an infantry captain in France. From 1920 to 1930 he was an art director for the N. W. Ayer advertising agency and for Batten, Barton, Durstine & Osborn.
