Ukr. rad. ent︠s︡ykl.: v. 3, p. 220 (Husi︠a︡tyn, village in Ternopilʹsʹka oblastʹ. 1st mentioned in 1559 chronicles; by 1559 it was part of Poland. In 1648 it was liberated by B. Khmelʹnyt︠s︡ʹkyĭ. From 1672 to 1683 it fell under the rule of Turkey, but that same year was taken back by Poland. From 1772 to 1918 it had become a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. From 1939 as part of the Western Ukrainian lands it was ceded to Ukraine)
