| History note | Skandinaviska kredit aktiebolaget i Göteborg, chartered in Nov. 1863, began operations in 1864. Its name was shortened to Skandinaviska kreditaktiebolaget in 1865 and changed to Skandinaviska banken in 1939. In 1972, Skandinaviska banken and Stockholms enskilda bank (established 1856) merged to form Skandinaviska enskilda banken.
