LC manual catalog, 7/28/97 (hdg.: Anglo-Palestine Bank; Anglo-Palestine Bank, ltd., formerly the Anglo-Palestine Company; founded at Londonin 1902, and at Jaffa (Palestine) in 1903 by the Zionist Organization. With central office at London, it has branches at Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, etc. The affairs of the Jewish Colonial Trust were taken over by the Bank as of Jan. 1, 1934; since then the Trust has served only as a holding company for the stock of the Bank. Business of Anglo-Palestine Bank, ltd. taken over by Bank leʼumi le-Yiśraʼel on May 1, 1951.
