Wikipedia, February 3, 2023: (George Platt Lynes (April 15, 1907-December 6, 1955) was an American fashion and commercial photographer who worked in the 1930s and 1940s; born in East Orange, New Jersey; had commissions from Harper's Bazaar, Town & Country, and Vogue and also documented dancers and productions of the American Ballet company (now the New York City Ballet); amassed a substantial body of work involving nude and homoerotic photography, and a large number of these photographs were left to the Kinsey Institute after his death; died in New York City)
