She wrote one of the first curriculums for interpreter educators, and trained interpreters and interpreter educators all over the world. In 1923, Riekehof, with her parents and younger sister, Ruth, immigrated from Lage, North Rhine-Westphalia to Elizabeth, New Jersey.)
