Biography/History notePablo Escalante, he has dedicated himself to the study of indigenous art and culture of central Mexico, in the Postclassic period and after the conquest. His main line of research has to do with 16th-century Christian-indigenous art in New Spain. Several of his research projects in recent years are related to this general line; They are those that refer to the Mesoamerican codices, the Mixteca-Puebla tradition and the cultural history of the Nahua peoples.
