Bibliothè€que nationale de France via VIAF, viewed Nov. 19, 2020 (Molini, Giuseppe, 1772-1856; born 1772-12-17, died 1856-12-20; country: Italy; gender: male; variant access point: Molini, Josephus; printer, bookseller; grandson of Romualdo Molini, and nephew of Pietro (Peter), Giovanni Claudio and Jacopo Molini, all booksellers; son of Giuseppe I Molini (1773-1808) whom he succeeded; member of the firm "Molini, Landi e compagno", incorporated in 1804. Patented bookseller on Jan. 1, 1813, under Napoleon; founded his own pharmacy "All 'insegna di Dante" in 1820. Scholar, bibliophile, bibliographer and publisher, he was appointed librarian of the Palatine Library in 1827. Ceded his printing works in 1836 to his son Luigi but very quickly took control again until 1856. The sources consulted seem to confuse Giuseppe I and II while the "Notizie biografiche di G. Molini", by to G. Ajazzi (in the "Operette bibliografiche" by G. Molini, Florence, 1858) clearly states "Giuseppe Molini, son of Giuseppe [born] of Romualdo")
