Wikipedia, July 8, 2023 (The Congress of the Philippines (Filipino: Kongreso ng Pilipinas) is the legislature of the national government of the Philippines. It is bicameral, composed of a lower body, the House of Representatives, although colloquially the term "Congress" commonly refers to just the latter, and an upper body, the Senate. The House of Representatives meets in the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City while the Senate meets in the GSIS Building in Pasay; 1973 Constitution abolished the bicameral Congress and created a unicameral National Assembly, which would ultimately be known as the Batasang Pambansa; 1987 Constitution restored the presidential system of government together with a bicameral Congress of the Philippines. It first convened in 1987)
