Rovensʹka oblastʹ, 1973: p. 188, etc. (Tuchyn; village in Hoshchansʹkyĭ raĭon in Rovensʹka oblastʹ; first mentioned in chronicles of 1545 as part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. After 1569 Tuchyn became part of Poland until reunification of Right-Bank Ukraine with Russia when it became part of the Rovensʹkyĭ povit of Volynsʹka hubernii︠a︡. In 1918 the village was occupied by Austro-Hungarian troops, and in 1919 by Polish forces. During 1920 Tuchyn was liberated by the Red Army but finally reoccupied by Poland as part of the Volynsʹke voi︠e︡vodstvo. In the fall of 1939 Tuchyn as part of the Western Ukraine, was reunited with Soviet Ukraine)
