Found in	Pryluky, 1988: p. 3 (Pryluky is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine, and was first mentioned in 1084. In the Ipatiïvsʹkyĭ litopys the city of Pryluky of the Perei︠a︡slavsʹke kni︠a︡zivstvo was named in the years 1092 and 1139 as a link in the fight against the Polovt︠s︡y. The city was destroyed in 1239 by the Tatar-Mongol horde under Khan Batyĭ. With the decline of the khanate Pryluky was seized by the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. After joining the revolt of B. Khmelʹnyt︠s︡ʹkyĭ in 1648 Pryluky became part of the Prylut︠s︡ʹkyĭ kozat︠s︡ʹkyĭ polk) Encyc. of Ukraine: v. 4, p. 260 (Pryluka or Pryluky. A city and raion center in Chernihiv oblast. It was first mentioned as a fortress, in the Hypatian Chronicle under the year 1092. From 1362 Pryluka belonged to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and from 1569 to the Polish Commonwealth. Afer joining B. Khmelnytsky's uprising in 1648 it became a regiment center of the Hetman state (1654-1781) and then a county center of Chernihiv viceregerency (1781-1802) and Poltava gubernia (1802-1925).
