His PhD thesis focused on Calvin's theology and Platonism. He is deputy director of the Freiburg Institute of Human Rights Education. Special fields of research are Christian-Jewish relations, Holocaust remembrance, interreligious and intercultural education, and empirical studies in the theology of children and youth.)
