Biography/History noteHan Sai Por was born on 19 July, 1943 in Singapore. She is a well-known sculptor. In the 1970s, Han worked as a full-time teacher after graduating from the Teachers' Training College in 1968. For two years, she took up part time courses at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts . In 1979, she venture abroad to the United Kingdom to pursue a degree in fine arts. Han was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 1995 for her contribution to art.
