Park Jae-sang (Korean: 박 재상, 朴 載相 = Pak Chae-sang) on Dec. 31, 1977, in Gangnam District, Seoul, South Korea; better known by his stage name PSY (Korean: 싸이 = Ssai); a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and record producer; known for his humorous videos and stage performances, and has appeared on numerous television programs; attended Banpo (반포) Elementary School, Banpo Middle School, and Sehwa (세화) High School, Boston University and Berklee College of Music; debuted in January 2001 with his full-length album titled PSY... From the Psycho World!; his second album titled Ssa 2; switched entertainment agencies in 2010 to YG Entertainment; served his mandatory military service as a technician in a venture firm from 2003 to 2005; married Yoo Hye-yeon on Oct. 14, 2006; was re-drafted to serve as a soldier in the ROK Army, Aug. 2007, and was discharged in the summer of 2009; twin daughters who were born on Oct. 1, 2007)
