Walter Jankuhn web site, Jun. 3, 2013 (Walter Jankuhn, born on July 14, 1888 in Königsberg, Germany, was one of the famous operetta tenors in Berlin of the twenties and thirties. He had trained as a singer at various engagements, sang and then played in Berlin theaters. Walter Jankuhn played in 1928 in a silent film production and in 1929 he got a starring role in the first sound film that was entirely shot and produced in a German studio. He lived in the Munich street in the Bavarian Quarter in Berlin-Schöneberg, where he died 22 May 1953)
