Wikipedia, via WWW, June 18, 2015 (Anton Anreith was born in Riegel, near Freiburg in Breisgau, Baden, Germany on 11 June 1754. He came to Cape in 1777, where he worked on numerous building projects. He became known for numerous sculptural embellishments of Cape Town buildings, thought to represent the crowning achievements of the Cape Baroque style. He died on 4 March 1822 in Cape Town)
