Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, viewed on May 26, 2016 : Theodosia Trollope (Theodosia Trollope, née Garrow, author, was born on 28 November 1816. Her childhood was spent at Torquay. Her family settled in Florence in 1844. She met Thomas Adolphus Trollope in Florence and they were married on 3 April 1848. Her home, the Villino Trollope, became the main social focus of Anglo-Florentine society, and a favourite venue for liberal-minded Italian politicians and literati. She died on 13 April 1865, and was buried in the English cemetery in Florence.)
