Catholic saints.info website, viewed March 17, 2017 (Saint Jacinto Castañeda Puchasóns; born Novelmer 13, 1743 in Jàtiva, Valencia, Spain; he was a Dominican priest and missionary to the Philippines, China, and Tonkin; martyred in the persecutions of Trinh Sam in Vietnam by being beheaded on November 7, 1773 in Dong Mo, Ha Tay, Vietnam; his feast day is celebrated on November 7 and also on November 24 as one of the martyrs of Vietnam; he was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1988 Dominican priest. Missionary to the Philippines, China, and Tonkin. Martyred in the persecutions of Trinh Sam.
