Wikipedia, German, March 19, 2019 (Max von Zeppelin; Graf Max von Zeppelin (born 6 August 1856 in Stuttgart; died 3 December 1897 in Stuttgart) was a German zoologist, explorer and court marshal; son of Count Karl von Zeppelin, at that time Hofmarschall of Crown Prince Karl von Württemberg; he earned his doctorate in zoology in Freiburg; did zoological research in Helgoland, Scandinavia, the Bear Island and Spitzbergen; in 1892, Zeppelin toured Wyoming, the Grand Canyon, and Southern California; fell ill with bronchitis in April 1896 from which he did not recover; one and a half years later he succumbed to a stroke in his 53rd year)
