Wikipedia, December 10, 2019 (Diarra Traore, born 1935, died July 8, 1985; Guinean soldier and politician; served as Prime Minister 1984 under Lasana Conte; executed July 8, 1985 following a failed coup; he received his military training at the French school in Fréjus; discharged from the army due to President Tourés lack of trust; several posts as a regional governor; joined the Parti Démocratique de Guinée in the late 1970s; upon Touré's death in March 1984, he supported a coup led by Lieutenant Colonel Lansana Conté, who made himself President and appointed Traoré Prime Minister; a few months later, Conté demoted Traoré to Minister of State for National Education; on July 4, 1985, Traoré attempted to overthrow Conté; captured and executed along with about 100 other military personnel, many of them also Malinké)
