Wikipedia (in French), viewed May 28, 2020 (Alexis (auteur); Dominique Vallet, aka Alexis; French writer and cartoonist; born September 18, 1946 in Boulogne-Billancourt; after obtaining a baccalaureate A, he embarked on illustration and humorous drawing; his first publications were in PlaneĢ€te and martial arts journals; from 1966 to 1968, he provided cartoons to the adult magazine Lui; on October 10, 1968, he joined Pilote, the only comic book publication not intended for children; he began a collaboration with Gotlib where he illustrated parodies of great cinematographic or literary works; the seven stories produced were published under the title Cinemastock in 1974 and 1975; in 1975, he unsuccessfully tried his hand at Métal Hurlant in science fiction, illustrating The adventures of Yrris; he then embarked on a Western route with Al Crane, published in Pilote Mensuel in 1976 and 1977; he was then offered the scenario of an apocalyptic science fiction series, Le Transperceneige, which he was working on when he died, of a ruptured aneurysm, on September 7, 1977 in the 13th arrondissement of Paris)
