Biography/History note	ʼAbā II, of Kashkar (641-751) was a scholar and Catholicos of the Church of the East. Educated at the School of Seleucia-Ctesiphon, he was briefly Bishop of Kashkar, where he was born, before he was elected as Catholicos in 741. He wrote primarily theological and exegetical works.
