Naxos Records www site, Jan. 27, 2021 (Charles Voss, born Karl Voss in 1815 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, was a pianist and composer. He received his musical education in Berlin, studying with Carl Wilhelm Greulich and Louis Berger. Having become a well-known pianist and teacher, he settled in Paris in 1850. A prolific composer, his numerous works for piano include many opera potpourris, fantasies and dances. He died in 1882 in Verona.)
