Email from publisher, September 20, 2022 ("There is some confusion about the actual birth date for Cyrus John MacMillan. Birth registration and baptism records exist for a John Daniel Cyrus born September 12, 1878 and baptized in 1879. There is no record of a child by this name after age three. In addition, there do not seem to be any records for the birth and baptism of Cyrus John for 1881. This was a family that diligently recorded births and definitely baptized infants, so it seems likely that John Daniel Cyrus and Cyrus John are the same person. Both shared the same day and month of birth, September 12.")
