Rostock, becoming adjunct of the philosophical faculty in 1648; returned as conrector to Rendsburg in 1649, but appearing to be of an erratic ("unstät") personality he frequently changed his place of residence: 1650 assessor of the philosophical faculty, U. Königsberg; 1652 again rector in Rendsburg; 1656 in the same capacity in the cathedral school, Schleswig; 1657 prorector of the gymnasium in Frankfurt a.M., in which town he died in April 1659, in this 35th year ; important for the history of philosophy because of his book "De scriptoribus historiae philosophiae" (1659), compiling with great erudition a history of ancient philosophy in chronological order, illuminating the history of philosophy thereby)
