According to volume 115 of 'Jing yi kao' by Zhu Yizun, this book, 'Er ya tang shi shuo', written by Gu Qiyuan, originally consisted of four chapters.

無框欄, 9行20字; 補: 卷内另有朱墨眉批旁註, 朱筆圈點, 惜不知出於何人之手.
原題：「武陵顧起元泰初父著」。按朱氏經義考卷一百十五著錄起元所著爾雅堂詩說四卷，並載其自序云：「先大夫以詩起家，隆慶初，讀書永慶山房，嘗手錄諸家詩說，藏諸笥中。余少過庭，愛而習之，獨惜大雅以下諸篇，闕弗載。比長，諸家之說觕所涉覽，乃竊取其，義續之，而門人輩遂板而行之，余不能止也」。此本不分卷，止於小雅何草不黃與起元所稱：「大雅以下諸篇闕弗載」者相合，然則此非起元所著，蓋其父說詩舊稿也。起元父名國輔，字惟德，號毅竜，萬曆二年進士，官止寶慶府知府。陳作霖金陵通傳卷十九頁十三上有傳.
