6 drawings : ink over graphite and blue pencil underdrawing, color.
Drawings (without text) for a comics story depicting a confrontation between an African American boy, Danny, with his two friends and a Pakistani American boy, Nasim, and his younger sister, Amira. As smoke billows from the World Trade Center complex in New York City after the September 11th terrorist attack, Danny challenges Nasim's right to read Superman comics, claiming Superman as American. Nasim points out that many superheros are foreigners. Danny and his two friends acknowledge this and apologize to Nasim and his sister, who, "for the record" were born in New Jersey.
