九行二十二字. Nine lines, with twenty-two characters per line.
原題:「明太史方山薛應旂纂輯,如蓮鄭以偉註評,新會元存梅施鳳來校正,閩書林陟瞻余應虬梓行」。書題作新鋟評林旁訓薛鄭二先生家藏酉陽[sou]古人物奇編卷末有牌記云:「萬曆己酉秋月南京原板刊行」。按是書即薛應旂四書人物考原文,蓋就朱阜註釋,許胥臣訂補而損益之,疑即出於余應虬手。朱阜鄭以偉皆閩人,以偉名甚彰,故應虬攘之朱而託之鄭也。所謂南京原板者,專指薛書也。薛應旂(自序).
