Attracted to the widow, but self-conscious about his thinning hair, the widower writes a letter to inquire about a hair restoring tonic. He hides the response, and the widow thinks he is corresponding with another woman. She decides to make him jealous by framing a magazine photo of another man. One day, at the beach, the widow and widower are both marooned on a rock by the rising tide. The widow steals a look at the letter and realizes her mistake.
