Cartoon shows the Democratic donkey as an undertaker, carrying a coffin, standing on the front steps of a house, astonished and dismayed to find that the occupant (labeled "Business") appears hale and hearty, smoking a cigar and saying, "Never mind, I feel better already." May refer to the economic upswing in 1936 that led some observers to think that the voters in the presidential election might conclude that they no longer needed the Democratic New Deal government and programs.
