Cartoon shows Speaker of the House, Joseph Cannon, labeled "Uncle Joe," facing left, his face battered and bruised. This cartoon may allude to the House revolt of 1910, which forced him to resign as Speaker. "Doc Bird" Finch's dingbat, a bird, faces him. Frank Finch began his cartooning career in 1900 and worked for several newspapers until 1931.
