Cartoon shows President Truman, Defense Secretary George C. Marshall, and Secretary of State Dean Acheson, talking to figures representing Congress and the general public, refusing to consider an expansion of the bombing during the Korean War on the grounds that "we might hit some of our friends." Reflects general conservative frustrations at the refusal of the Truman Administration to agree to General MacArthur's recommendations that the US bomb Manchuria. In addition, snipes at Acheson's support for a Congressional resolution that would express the friendship of the American people for "all other peoples including those of the Soviet Union."
