Nzinga and Folosade are sisters who work out of their family home in Philadelphia. They were trained by master braider Yvette Smalls. They specialize in traditional African hair styling and they have developed modern, innovative styling techniques. They also grew up with The Move Organization, the Black liberation group that was bombed by the Philadelphia Police in 1985. The sisters speak eloquently about the importance of wearing their natural hair texture and being proud of their heritage.
