Russia's youngest soldier. Nine year old Peter Wrangel, only son of General Baren Wrangel who is in command of the volunteer army of south Russia, is the youngest soldier in the Russian army. The boy is a great lover of army life and holds the rank of sergeant in his father's troop. Although barely big enough to hold a rifle to his shoulder the lad is an expert shot and a wonderful rider. At present young Peter is living with his mother on the island of Proti, not far from Constantinople, where the American Red Cross is caring for a colony of several hundred Russian refugees rescued from Black Sea ports [graphic].
