The newlyweds set up housekeeping in Los Angeles, California. She tries her best to be a good housewife but sometimes runs into problems as she learns English and adapts to her new life and culture. In this episode, Angel's friend Erika is worried about her mother-in-law, who is coming to visit. Erika is a widow and a single mother who works in a nightclub. She thinks her mother-in-law will disapprove, and will try to take her baby. Angel volunteers to take Erika's shift in the nightclub during the mother-in-law's visit, but when Johnny sees the skimpy "uniform" he forbids Angel to go. She agrees to wear a coat over the costume. Johnny acquiesces, but insists on going with her.
