  <abstract type="Subject">Drawing shows scene at Union prison camp in Point Lookout, Maryland, in which prisoners buy and sell items at water's edge as a sailing ship and Union paddlewheel steamboat pass by. Conversation between the prisoners is written beneath the image. The artist was a Confederate soldier who served with Co. A, 59th Virginia Infantry and Co. A, 46th Virginia, and who was captured at Petersburg, Virginia, and imprisoned at Camp Lookout from June 1864 to June 1865.</abstract>
