After learning about food and farming from an academic perspective and falling in love with the work of growing food, Scott began to think more about the connection between food and identity. He describes how a personal project to explore his mixed Chinese American identity led him to start a farm that grows culturally relevant produce for the Asian American diaspora in the San Francisco Bay Area.
