Thomas Lang talks about his work as a role-player at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana, where members of the military are exposed to a pretend country replicating conditions overseas where they will be deployed. He discusses the various characters he inhabited and how his experience with community theater impacted his work. He also talks about his experiences in Catholic school in New Orleans, his career in the U.S. Navy, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and as a meteorologist.
